You have chosen...wisely.

I picked up my brand new tennis racquet yesterday, the Wilson nCode Six-One 95. It's the successor to Pete Sampras' Pro Staff 6.1, the cousin to the Six-One Tour used by Roger Federer, and just about the polar opposite to the Hammer 6.2 Stretch/Oversize that I've been using since early in high school.
The hammer was a light, head-heavy balanced power racquet, whereas the six-one is a heavier, head-light balanced control, or "player's", racquet. It's also a good deal smaller at only 27" long, with a head size of 95 sq in, compared to 27 3/4" and 110 sq in.

Basically, like Chris with his new Diablo Tour, my goal here was to get a racquet that's better than I am, and that will force me to improve to use it well.

You're more like a game show host.

The first exam of the semester is on Tuesday night, which means they were all asking about it in class tonight. I told them that it would be a 'game show' style test. Where we flash a multiple choice question up onto the screen, and the first 50 students to answer correctly with their electronic clickers would get credit.

I'm so mean.

What a tease!

On Monday night, IBM and usopen.org broadcasted all of USA's coverage of the US Open over the internet for free! This was great for cheapskates like me who don't have cable. But unfortunately, they only did it for Monday night. And here I had thought I would finally get to see the tournament.

As it stands, I spent some time tonight trying to convince our tv that CBS does, in fact, exist, so that I can at least watch the matches this weekend.

And as a side note, the old Agassi-Sampras matches that they showed last weekend (which I watched at my parent's house) really helped me fix the timing issue I was having with my servers!
