Well, I finally got Tamara's new laptop to connect to my wireless router. I can't believe what a pain it was. After hours of frustration, I discovered that the magic cure was to update the firmware on the router. My laptop had the same problem when I got it six months ago. The router is a Netgear 814 router in case anyone else is having simillar problems, update the firmware to version 5.3 and maybe they'll go away. However, other than it's initial connection issues, the router has been terrific.

Second Post!

So why start up a blog? To tell the truth, I don't really know. It seems like such a cool free resource that I should really take advantage of. But on the other hand, I'm not really a very open person and don't really know what I'd talk about here. Not to mention the fact that I can't imagine anyone actually reading this, so I'm basically talking to myself.

Anyway, I've spent most of the week working on homework assignments, but I did manage to get some work done for the Physics Van and will be able to do more tomorrow. Check out the Van's website at PhysicsVan.org and hit your browser's 'refresh' button a couple of times, you should see the three picture mosaic change everytime you refresh.
